Getting there
- Paros has a small airport with domestic flights from Athens, a short hop.
- Ferries run from Piraeus and Rafina near Athens, and connect Paros with Mykonos, Naxos, Santorini and other islands.
- Antiparos is a short car ferry ride from Pounta, on Paros's west coast.
- A car or scooter is useful for exploring; taxis are limited in high season.
For groups
- Paros has a good range of larger villas, particularly in the countryside and around Naoussa.
- Villas are spread out, so consider where the group will eat most evenings.
- Group transfers and car hire book up in summer. Arrange them early.
Local tips
- Ask which way a villa faces. In July and August the meltemi blows from the north, and sheltered terraces make a real difference.
- Book dinners in Naoussa ahead in high season.
- Paros is a natural hub: easy to combine with Antiparos, Naxos or a few nights on Mykonos or Santorini.
