- Palma de Mallorca (PMI) is well connected, with frequent flights from across Europe.
- Most parts of the island are within about an hour's drive of the airport.
- A car is essential for most villas.
For groups
- Mallorca has a strong supply of larger villas and fincas.
- Holiday rental licensing is regulated in the Balearics, which is one of the details worth confirming for any villa.
- Villas in the countryside are further from beaches. Consider what the group prefers.
Local tips
- The Formentor road may be restricted to private cars in summer. Check before you go.
- Book restaurants in Deià and Sóller ahead in high season.
- Some calas are small and get busy. Go early.
