A wedding at a villa can be intimate in a way a hotel rarely is: your people, one place, a long table at the end of the day. It also takes more planning than most villa stays.
Most villas do not allow events. The ones that do usually have rules around guest numbers, music, curfews, suppliers and additional fees. Our job is to find villas where your celebration is actually permitted, and to be clear about the conditions before you fall in love with a place.

Permission comes first
A villa that allows twelve extra guests for dinner is very different from one licensed for a 120-person wedding. We confirm event permission and guest limits in writing before we suggest a property.

Ceremony and legalities
In many countries, the legal ceremony takes place at a town hall, and a symbolic ceremony follows at the villa. Rules vary by country and by your nationality. We recommend a local wedding planner for this side.

Noise and curfews
Many rural areas have restrictions on amplified music after a certain hour. Some villas set their own limits. It's worth knowing before you book the band.

Planners and suppliers
Some villas require their own approved caterers or planners. Others let you bring your own. This affects both cost and flexibility.

Where guests will stay
Even large villas rarely sleep every wedding guest. We look at the villa's sleeping capacity alongside nearby places for the rest of your guests.

Wedding Villas: FAQs
Can we get married at any villa?
No. Most villas don't allow events at all, and those that do have conditions. We only suggest villas where your type and size of event has been confirmed as permitted.
Are there extra fees for events at a villa?
Usually. Event fees, additional security deposits, cleaning and staffing charges are common. We'll set out any known costs before you decide.
Do you plan weddings?
