Getting there
- Catania (CTA) serves the east and southeast. Palermo (PMO) and Trapani (TPS) serve the north and west. Comiso (CIY) is close to the Val di Noto.
- A car is essential for most villas. Roads are good between major towns and slower in the countryside.
- Many travelers combine two bases on one trip to reduce driving.

- Larger villas are available, particularly in the southeast and around Taormina.
- Plan for driving time. Consider splitting a longer trip between two villas.
- Summer heat inland can be intense. Air-conditioning is worth confirming.
